Via Ferrata: Smuggler's Path

Are you a thrill seeker? Join us as we do this moderately-challenging and extremely scenic Sentiero dei Contrabbandieri (or Smuggler's Trail) via ferrata! What is a via ferrata? It's an amazing mixture of hiking and climbing, moving along cables to get to places too dangerous to access by hiking alone! The ingredients of this trip are: exposure, adrenaline, views overlooking the lake, and sheer excitement. This is a truly amazing experience with truly breathtaking views moving along a path carved out on top of Lake Garda. We will be doing this route with the aid of professional alpine guides. The via ferrata is about 5km long and will take around 4 hours to complete. This ferrata is well known for its exposed ledges and beautiful lakeside views. It consists of a large amount of traversing with cbles using built in cable steps.

Please note: if you are afraid of heights, this IS NOT the trip for you!

Duration of Ferrata: 4-5 hours (on your feet, so come prepared)

A note on weather:

Outdoor Rec will review the conditions ahead of time to ensure they are appropriate for the hike. We will not cancel for rain unless it is deemed unsafe for hiking. If it is found that the conditions are not suitable, ODR will notify you and inform you about refund information.
