The city of Turin was once the head of Italian parliament in the 1800s and is the home of some of Italy's most prestigious universities. Well known for "The Shroud of Turin," the cloth that covered Jesus Christ after his Crucifixion, this city has much to offer. With its grand palaces, elegant arcades and gracious squares, Turin is ready to be explored.
Located in Turin is the Turin Egyptian Museum which has one of the most complete sets of ancient artifacts in the world, second only to the museum in Cairo! Established in 1824, the Turin Egyptian Museum boasts the statue of Ramses the II, the Tomb of KHA and Merit, and over 4,000 years of Egyptian history. This is a must see for anyone interested in Egyptian history.
